The idea of literally picturing myself in a new environment or landscape was extended into my Young American project where I sought to capture my ideal social landscape, as what I was seeing and feeling in America was not the ideal world I expected during the terrifying conservative, intolerant anti-immigrant Trump years. And during this time, I could not return home.
